For End-Users

Businesses and organizations are joining ECS’ PowerPay! demand response programs to:

● Get paid for simply agreeing to reduce electric consumption, if asked
● Keep electricity costs lower during periods of high demand
● Ensure reliable electricity supply
● Reduce their impact on the environment

When consumers’ demand for electricity soars, brownouts and widespread blackouts could occur. Even if sufficient supply is available, the distribution system may be limited in terms of allowing the electricity to get to where the demand is.  Large-scale reduction of electricity consumption reduces stress on the entire system and ensures reliable supply.

PowerPay! programs are customer-friendly and easy to follow because they were created from the perspective of an electricity end user.  The simplicity of PowerPay!programs is the primary reason for their success.  In New York, for example, 70% of demand response participants choose ECS’ program above any other; in northern California, 65% choose ECS as their preferred provider.
