ECS is by far the largest and longest tenured demand response provider in the State of New York, serving customers for more than a decade. Several thousand facilities throughout the five NYC Boroughs participate in ECS’ PowerPay Program.

Now is the time to enroll in ECS’ PowerPay NYC demand response program for the upcoming summer. The 387 MW Astoria Generation Plant in NYC will soon be closing which will dramatically decrease the available capacity to Con Edison customers and dramatically increase capacity and

Now is the time to enroll in ECS’ PowerPay NYC demand response program for the upcoming summer. When capacity payments are higher, energy users earn more money through demand response. ECS is allocating up to $15 million over the next two months to Con Edison energy users that participate in PowerPay!

Businesses in the Con Edison service territory are paid to stand ready as a last line of defense to help prevent blackouts. Clients enrolled in an ECS demand response program will receive advanced notification of issues with the electric grid and will have the ability to gain thousands in extra revenue. Companies will earn payment via check for standing by—known as a capacity payment—and for actual electricity reduced (energy payment).
